Executives from CBS TV declared on Saturday that the TV star Charlie Sheen and his hit show “Two and a Half Men” is a good business like it always was.

Chuck Lorre, one of the executive producers of the comedy show “Two and a Half Men”,  said about the artist that he appears and offers, being pro perfect.

The show “Two and a Half Men” became the most popular and most-watched comedy on U.S. television, more than 11 million people watching every single episode.

Charlie Sheen’s love life hasn’t been that wonderful: he was arrested in the ski resort of Aspen, Colorado, on 25 December – Christmas Day, being accused by his wife, Brooke Mueller. She told that the star pulled a knife on her and he threatened to kill her. Charlie Sheen is known for his behavior toward women. It is not yet decided if the prosecutors will press formal charges on him.

The company Hanes, an underwear maker, stopped their campaign with Charlie Sheen after this scandal.

Also the second wife of TV star Charlie Sheen seemed to be scared of his behavior, so she obtained a restraining order against him in 2006. She accused him of physically abusive toward her.

Nina Tassler, CBS Corp’s CBS entertainment president, seemed to be not so disturbed of this things, seeing in the relation with Charlie Sheen just a business: “We are being very sensitive to the fact that this is a very personal and very private matter for Charlie. Right now it is business as usual”.

Seems that Chris Merriewether was hit by Frank Martin, but he also apologized for the mistake that he has done in an interview to the press: “That’s a mistake on my part. I’m an old-school guy, but I understand the times are real sensitive now. I love him. I don’t know what to tell you. It’s wrong on my part and is completely out of line and has no part in the game. I need to apologize for that”.

Player Chris Merriewether declares that he is not angry, that it was nothing serious and that some kind it was an accident: “It was just in the heat of the moment; big game, lot of heated plays going on. I mean, he hit me in the arm, it was nothing serious. Jacob Pullen came back right after and he hit me in the arm, too. It really wasn’t too much. I trust Frank and Frank trusts me and it was just a heat of the moment-type deal. It’s not a big deal at all”.

The athletic director, John Currie supports coach Frank Martin, saying that was very well to apologize for his action: “Coach Martin clearly understands his contact with Chris at the end of the game was unacceptable, regardless of the emotion of the moment. I am proud of coach Martin for immediately apologizing and I expect that there will be no further such incidents”.

At the hockey game between Mike Fisher’s Ottawa Senators and the Boston Bruins, who took place in Ottawa, Carrie Underwood did not hesitate for a minute to show her marvelous engagement ring and seemed to admire it all the time.

Sources tell that in the moment of her death, Brittany Murphy was with her husband and her mother and they both tried to resuscitate her before paramedics arrived.   L.A. police discovered an excessive number of meds prescriptions in her bedroom.

According to those prescriptions, Brittany Murphy suffered of severe pains on his abdomen and problems with her breath during the last seven – ten days.

Brittany entered in the bathroom on Sunday at 7:30 a.m. and half hour later, her mother found her lying on the floor, without any reply. Then she started to scream and Simon Monjack, Brittany Murphy’s husband, ran to them.

Sharon Murphy, Brittany’s mother called 911, while Simon Monjack tried to make Brittany respond, putting her under the shower and running the water.

When the paramedics arrived, Brittany was in the same condition – unresponsive.

They saw the meds prescriptions in the bedroom. Those contained:

-          Topamax: a medicine to prevent migraines

-          Fluoxetine: med for depression

-          Carbamazepine: a bipolar med who treats Diabetic symptoms

-          Methyprednisolone: anti inflammatory med

-          Klonopin: med for the anxiety

-          Vicoprofen: sedative for pain

-          Ativan: also for anxiety

-          Blaxin: antibiotics med

-          Propranolol: med to prevent heart attacks

-          Hydrocodone: sedative for pain

Beside those meds prescriptions, no alcohol and drugs were found.

And it is known that Brittany consumed the night before only lemon tea, water and Gatorade.

British musician Peter Doherty, 30, was arrested on Monday with the charge of heroin possession.

Gloucestershire Police spokeswoman told to the press: “The 30-year-old man from Wiltshire that was arrested in Gloucester on Monday has been charged with possession of heroin and has been bailed to appear at Gloucester Magistrates Court in January”.

The judges decided that the musician should pay a 3,280 dollars amount and his drive license was retained for 18 months.

He also was found having 50 micrograms of alcohol per 100 ml at the breath test, the legal limit being 35 micrograms.

Monday the judges in Roman Polanski case decided to reject the appeal, so the director did not win his freedom, but they also said that in his case might be judicial and prosecutorial misconduct.

The request for outright dismissal was rejected by the California 2nd District Court of Appeal, but the judged urged further investigation because they are pretty sure that is about a probable misconduct made by a now-deceased judge and a retired prosecutor.

People made a big scandal based on this, some of them angrily calling for Polanski to be imprisoned and others claimed his freedom.

The appeals court released the decision: “Even in light of our fundamental concern about the misconduct that has been alleged here with significant evidentiary support, flight was not Polanski’s only option. It was not even his best option”.

Superior Court Judge Peter Espinoza refused the case without Roman Polanski’s presence. This is based on a doctrine that denies court processes from those who run to avoid prosecution.

The notification said: “If Wells’s account is true, Judge Rittenband was ushered along a path of iniquity by an officer of the court with a personal axe to grind and no hesitation to engage in unethical ex parte communications and devise illegal, nonappealable sentences to circumvent the defendant’s due process and sentencing rights”.

A statement of district attorney’s office included the following notice: “The ruling today by the Court of Appeals is another step in the resolution of the Polanski sentencing. We await a decision by the Swiss courts on his extradition to Los Angeles so all issues can be resolved by the Superior Court”.

The appeals court said that more important are fundamental fairness and justice than the adjudication and sentence of any one individual.

Now the cause of the death was established as a heart attack. The final result will be ready in four to six weeks because of the toxicology tests.

Reports said that Brittany Murphy was very ill before her death and many drugs were found in her home.

Several celebrities were shocked by her death and posted on Twitter their grief over Brittany Murphy’s death.

Jessica Simpson said: “Brittany Murphy was an incredible ray of Light to so many people. Her smile was contagious. My prayers are with her family and loved ones”.

Another celebrity who wrote was Lindsay Lohan: “My deepest condolences go out to all of Brittany Murphy’s loved ones & may she rest in peace… She was a great talent w/a beautiful soul”.

People magazine received several comments by Brittany Murphy’s close friends: “Her weight, her hair, her clothes, her skin, her teeth, everything. She was always so self-conscious”. Another one said: “A lot of her problems were due to poor self image. She wore extraordinary amounts of makeup, tons of fake eyelashes, got her teeth capped, dyed her hair blonde, lost weight — she wanted to be a beauty.”
