American Idol Winner Carrie Underwood announced the engagement with NHL player Mike Fisher

Publicist Jessie Schmidt told to the press that Carrie Underwood is engaged to hockey player Mike Fisher, but they didn’t fixed yet the date for the wedding. The two are dating for almost a year and they couldn’t be more happier. Her words were: “I’m happy to confirm that Carrie Underwood is engaged to Mike Fisher, and the couple couldn’t be happier”.

The Associated Press asked last month the gorgeous Carrie Underwood what her family thought of her fiance, Mike Fisher, and she told that they support them: “They love me and I would hope my parents would think we raised a good, smart girl, so she’s going to do the right thing no matter what it is”.

Asked about the holidays and where she will spend them, the singer said that they don’t know for sure, at this time they didn’t thought about. So they will make plans this week.

Carrie Underwood’s current album, named “Play On”, was released on November 3 and it was number one this year, so the singer was nominated for a Grammy and also for a Country Music Award this weekend.

With this album, Carrie Underwood wrote specially for Mike Fisher in the liner notes: “Thank you. You are the most amazing addition to my life! You are such a wonderful person and have had such an amazing hand in the building of this album and in the growth of me as a person. I love you so much! You make my life better in every way!”
