Michael Caine Talks About Heath Ledger

Michael Caine, Batman’s failthful butler in the last movie, The Dark Knight, sais he is stunned by Heath Ledger winning the Oscar for his role, The Joker. Michael has also won two Oscars and he is very pleased that Heath Ledger did it too.

“I thought that it was very important for his family as well. I was a big fan of his from the first time that I met him,” Michael Caine said.

After The Dark Knight, Michael Caine played in Is Anybody There, which launches on April 17 and he learned a lot from Heath Ledger, even if he was much younger and less experienced that him. “I was absolutely stunned by the way that he did it and the energy that went into it. I thought if anyone is going to better that and get an Academy Award above him, I’d pay good money to see that,” he says.
