Performance Video of Mad World by Adam Lambert at Americal Idol, April 7 2009

On this week’s American Idol, Adam Lambert gave a stunning performance of Tears for Fears’ song “Mad World”. He received ovations from Simon Cowell and all the other judges.

“Song the year you were born” was this week’s theme. Lambert took Tears for Fears’ song, which had a comercial succes in the United States, reaching No.3 on the  UK Singles Chart back in November 1982.

Adams biggest rival, Danny Gokey, failed to impress after singing “Stand by Me”, a Ben E. King Original. Critics say that Adam Lambert is favourite for winning the Idol title this year, after his performance.
