Last night at American Idol the contestants boogied into disco night and two of them will go home, unfortunately for them.
Lil Rounds sang I’m Every Woman, which was quite predictable and she did quite a good job with it, but it wasn’t anything special. Kris Allen performed She Works Hard For The Money and said the song is a story about a woman, which is a bit stupid. Fortunately, he did perform well and the judge was satisfied.
Danny Gokey sang September and proved once more that he’s an excellent vocalist. He played the song really well, even if he’s only good at vocals, his total performance was good. Allison Iraheta performed Hot Stuff and, just as Danny, her vocals are excellent, she has a great voice.
Adam Lambert performed If I Can’t Have You and he already had some experience with disco songs, since a few weeks ago when he played Play That Funky Music. His song is from one of the biggest disco movies, called Saturday Night Fever. Adam thrilled everyone when he made a ballad from the song, by slowing it down. His performance was incredible and everyone is now confident that Adam will be a finalist and will even win American Idol.
Matt Giraud played Staying Alive and he didn’t do a good job at all, his vocals were poor and everything was really cheesy. Anoop Desai sang Dim All The Lights and he combined the style of a ballad with soft disco, but it wasn’t good enough.
This week the bottom list is the same as last week, Anoop Desai, Matt Giraud and Lil Rounds. Two of them will surely leave the competition.
