Miss California Carrie Prejean should appear in Nashville at the 40th Dove Awards, according to the Gospel Music Channel. She does not sing gospel music, but she seems to be faith-based. Lately, she’s been extremely controversial both for winning the Miss California contest, but also due to Perez Hilton.
Carrie Prejean is currently dating Michael Phelps, according to some publications.
Prejean should present the show along with many gospel music artists, like Jonathan Nelson.

On one hand, the Gospel Music Channel can invite anyone they want to – its their show.
And the buzz is still hot on Ms. Prejean, so it should be able to draw a sizable audience (its all about ratings, right?).
Besides – she is a very attractive woman.
On the other hand, this is suppose to be an event for those in the music business (specifically, gospel).
There are a lot of wonderful Christian musicians (or, people in the music business) that would much better represent this event than Ms. Prejean.
So what if she is Christian and against homosexual marriage?
How does THAT figure into a gospel event?
Besides…she is apparently dating Michael Phelps (the marijuana-smoking Olympic star).
So, come on…find someone with a little bit more of a polished image, okay?
