Taylor Hicks is back on American Idol and performed Soul Patrol that let everyone with their mouths open.
Taylor is already an American Idol winner and he has an excellent charisma, always making anyone applause him. He is a great guy that also does a great job but, in my opinion, he couldn’t compete with the current performers, because they really have a pro style.

Taylor is the best! I love him! So very talented, and always creates such energy when he is on stage! A very talented musician. The current group on Idol could take a page from Taylor’s book. None of them have the charisma and stage presence he has! Taylor rocked the house on Idol tonight!
I agree Michelle – every year the judges say this is the best year ever…they will NEVER have a season like season 5. Taylor did ROCK THE HOUSE last night and did anyone notice…everyone was SMILING, the band, the audience and the judges. He is such a great entertainer.

I was very impressed with the performance of Taylor Hicks last night. The media always seems to knock him but I have to tell you… he was really entertaining. My husband rarely takes notice of American Idol, but he was in the kitchen and heard him… came into the living room and actually sat down and watched Taylor. Even my husband said… wow… great song… at least I can understand what he was singing… I like this guy….you should get his CD… give the guy a break. Today, I’ll be picking up 2 cd’s of Taylor Hicks “The Distance” one for his car… one for mine! Nice job Taylor…. you actually impressed my hubby! WOW!
Taylor was awesome. He proved to those AI judges why he one, season 5. Now if the media would play his music instead of bashing him, he’d be right up there with the best of them. I don’t know what he did to make the AI executives hate him, and they put him in excile, but they need to take notice. AMERICA voted him the best and THE ENTERTAINMENT world needs to take notice. We’re sick of all the rap music, and nasty lyrics. Let’s showcase real entertainers! GO TAYLOR!
Why in the world couldn’t you have used a picture that’s not three years old? Oh well. Taylor did a superb job last night. Finally he was shown the respect that he deserved as the winner of the show. There was no comparison between his performance and whatever it was that Jamie Foxx did last night. Taylor absolutely owns the stage when performing. His live shows are simply unbelievable. He’s never been given the promotion he deserved but has gone his own way and produced his new album under his own record label, so good for him.

Taylor has always gotten so much bashing because AI hated him, and the US follows suit. I wonder if AI did not show him in such a negative light, would the US still hate him then?
I am a HUGE fan of Taylors (although not a member of SP) and his performance even surprised me! He was just great!
I heard this song is going out to country stations in May, but I doubt they will embrace it with all the negativity about Taylor.
But, he goes along like it doesnt’ bother him, good for him! He has done SO much, but people don’t know about it because no one wants to give him the time of day.
I can’t believe he even showed up on AI, I wouldn’t give THEM the time of day with the way they treated him. But Taylor is a nice guy, so there you go.
taylor, a breath of fresh air. solid and real. when he sings, the world smiles. a joy to watch him take over the stage. the contestants fade into little dog and pony shows.
For once, comments on Taylor that are ALL positive!!! When is the rest of the shallow world going to wake up and realize the talent, charm, charisma, vocal ability, and sexiness of this guy! You all made my day! I agree, there will NEVER be another Season 5; it was the best, but Season 8 is running a close second! Go my hometown boy, DANNY!!!!
I agree I still like season 5 the best. I loved Taylor Hicks from the very beginning and was so glad that he won. He was great last night. He looked great and sounded great. I am glad that he is still going strong despite some set backs.
Lots of contestants have been said to “own the stage” since Idol has been on. Taylor not only owns it, he lights it up like the 4th of July. What a positive force in the negative world of the music business.

He would be an even greater success if AI had given him the promotion he deserved. They abandoned him like poison and pushed that short, bald guy from season 5, their real favorite, to his success. Taylor was fantastic last night, looked and sounded great. What a wonderful performer! Go Taylor!
Taylor was great last night. He is a wonderful entertainer and truly loves what he does. If you have ever seen him in concert you will agree. He always puts on a great show and I look forward to seeing him in GREASE real soon. Kepp up the good work Taylor, your awesome!!
As I read the above posts, I am smiling from ear-to-ear. It is wonderful to see positive remarks about someone who has been diligent in standing firmly on what he believes. Yes~he has been bashed by many, but there is an old saying that goes something like: “The reason others hate you, is because they want to be just like you.”
In the world of ‘assembly-line’ performers; Taylor is his own person of creation. Genuine~ethical~compassionate & truly a fine ‘Artist’.
No need to listen to others who ask; “Where has he been since he won American Idol?” Respond with; “Where has he Not been!” Moving forward with his ‘Marathon’ not a ’sprint’!

Taylor set the stage on fire last night. I was wondering what had happened to him evidently he was somewhere morphing into one of the Hottest sexiest guys on the planet. LOL.
Taylor was nothing short of amazing last night! Other contestants? Were there even other contestants on the stage? Not one of them can touch Taylor in talent, musicianship or humility. He is one of a kind!
Loved seeing Taylor on the AI stage again. Shocked to see the standing O from the judges, particularly Simon, not because of Taylor’s performance which was great, but because of the overt snubbing by the AI PTB over the past 3 years.
Taylor is a gracious, thoughtful, talented, and charismatic professional who deserves to be treated with respect like any other hard-working individual. Hopefully, Taylor’s return to AI will bring back the Season 5 enthusiasm of the viewing public who remembers what a joy it was watching him perform every week.

Taylor outshines any of the contestants in idol history! Its been only a few years and how fast everyone forgets what a fabulous contestant he was. Minus instruments that are allowed since, he commanded the stage.
It was wonderful to see him again! Such a really great guy and a wonderful soul.

All Taylor bashers. For darn sake just SHUT UP. Taylor won. There never has been and never will be again an Entertainer-Human being like Taylor Hicks. He brings a joy to the Soul that no other contestant in all the seasons of Idol has. I waited all week to hear him perform 7 mile breakdown and all the joyful feelings rose to the surface immediately. I was on the freeway for 1 1/2 hours yesterday and I played 7 mile Breakdown the whole time. Anyone who doesn’t get it just doesn’t get ot and I feel sorry for you that you don’t have Taylor in your life!!!!!
