Judge Anita Allen believes that a juror had had inappropriate communications with someone outside the jury room
considering that the jury had been deliberating for eight hours.
A local political rally declared that one of the defendants had been found not guilty.
The two people accused of extort millions from Travolta are Paramedic Tarino Lightbourn and former Bahamian Sen. Pleasant Bridgewater, who is also Lightbourn’s attorney. They demanded the actor $25 million, otherwise they will make public a medical document, declining to have Jett transported to a nearby hospital, after suffering a seizure in the family’s vacation home.
The trial began one month ago. Lightbourn and Bridgewater had pleaded not guilty.
