Fred Rouse was dismissed from FSU after playing just one semester. He had multiple suspensions during that season and the university reported as a violation of team rules at that time.

His birthday is on December 17, is 6 feet 4 inches tall and weighs 190 lbs.

Bobby Bowden, FSU head coach had announced on January 20, 2009, that Rouse and offensive lineman Cornelius Lewis will kick off the game. Reason: conduct detrimental to the welfare of the football team. Coach also said he is athletic, blessed with speed, ability and often compared with Randy Moss.
